IT movie surpasses Exorcist collection

The scary pennywise clown's antics seem to have paved off, Stephen King's adaption of his novel I.T into a full-fledged movie has been going strong over the last few days. The movie's earnings have surpassed cult classic horror movie - The Exorcist recently. IT is now in the race to become the highest earning horror movie of all time. Table toppers for box office is Manoj Shyamalan’s Sixth Sense, however with IT's current run it will surely beat by the end of its theatrical run. Exorcist was released in 1973 and its life time earnings is $ 1 billion, adjusting to 2017 inflation, I.T has surpassed its box-office feat. A sequel is being helmed and the producers are looking to release it by 2018.
