It is still rocking hard

There is something called as the Spirit Of Rock that the rock musicians say is immortal and will have the same strength whatever music form comes, does the onslaught dominating the scenario for a period of time and says goodbye after being overshadowed by another new entrant.

The rockers always manage to say afloat reinventing themselves and simply because the feeling of freedom and a certain aggression can never be found or tasted in any other genre of music.

Although the music of the iconic and youthful movie 'Rock ON' cannot be termed as pure rock, it certainly had the real essence and style of rock music incorporated inside it and that too so beautifully and aesthetically in a never before attempted way.

The music played a big part in making it a favourite among the film lovers and it seems that the elusive spirit of rock is helping the flick to again rise like a phoenix winning different accolades all around long after it came, hit the big screens, fulfilled the purpose as envisioned by the director and left.

Just some days ago 'Rock ON' bagged two awards.

It was selected for the Anand Lok Star Purushkar for the best film in Kolkatta and the path breaking film of the year at the Star Sabse Favourite Kaun Award.

Farhan says that Rock On' has been a great experience, but what has been even more beautiful is the appreciation this movie has received. 'Rock On' is a coming of age film and I am more than glad that the critics as well as the audiences have loved this film so much. The Sabse Favourite Kaun award is symbolic of the love of the audiences; after all, what is better than receiving an award which has been chosen by the audiences itself.

Producer Ritesh Sidwani says Appreciation and accolades are always welcome, but is even more special when it is coming from the audiences, because in the end it is them who make us. I am so delighted to have received two extremely prestigious awards, both of which have been the audience's choice. 'Rock On' is a very special movie and I am eternally thankful to the audience for embracing this film so well.

Now before the movie got released and the promotion activities were going on in full swing, who would have imagined that the film will be selected to the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Art & Sciences.

The movie made it to the Oscar Library and even though it is not anywhere near to winning the Academy awards, if we think that this film not only presented before us the actor inside the maverick director Farhaan Akhtar, added more fuel and fire to the career of Arjun Rampal squeezing out of him a great performance and gave the much needed oxygen for the directing career of its writer and maker Abhishek Kapoor after his first movie was pathetically rejected by the viewers, there is nothing wrong if the assumption is made that this movie was planned by the forces of destiny.
