Pudhupettai is a gangster's movie but with a difference, says director Selvaraghavan.

The director who was tight-lipped about the project until the shooting was completed a few days back, says all the actors and actresses have given an excellent performance. Sneha and Sonia Agarwal in particular deserves a special mention'.

He says Pudhupettai was very demanding. It consumed more time and work. However, I am happy with the way the movie has shaped up, he adds.

Produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers, the movie features Dhanush, Sneha and Sonia Agarwal.

Sneha essays the role of a commercial sex worker in the movie.

She says, 'it is a brilliantly crafted role. I had no hang-ups doing it and I think I have given my best. Now its up to the viewers to decide.'

Music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja, editing is by Kola Baskar and the dialogue is written jointly by Balakumaran and Selvaragavan.
