Akkineni Nagarjuna's upcoming film Soggade Chinni Nayana , which is being directed by debutant Kalyan Krishna has now confirmed a Pongal release. The film`s shooting has been wrapped up long ago but the makers are holding their nerves to release the film at an appropriate time. The latest update is that Soggade Chinni Nayana is going to hit the screens on January 15, just a day ahead of Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Dictator.

What's more interesting is that NTR's upcoming film Nannaku Prematho is also scheduled to hit the screens for Pongal. It seems the Akkineni stalwart is set to wage a lone battle with two Nandamuri stars for this festival season. Perhaps, this is for the first time that Nagarjuna is set to fight with the likes of Balakrishna and NTR for box office supremacy.

Starring Lavanya Tripathi and Ramya Krishna in lead roles, the film is tipped to be a family entertainer and will see Nagarjuna in double roles. Anup Rubens has scored the music for this film and the audio launch is going to be held either on December 12 or 19 in Hyderabad.
