In his latest attack on the BJP-led NDA government, actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has said that the "special package" to AP is nothing but an eyewash. "There is nothing special except the word 'special'. The BJP is treating Andhra people as spineless people lacking in self-respect," he has said.

Remarkably, Pawan harked back on the Jai Andhra agitation of the early 1970s. "Andhras will never forget the loss of 400 lives in Jai Andhra agitation. We swear on the lives of the 400 students who were shot dead in Jai Andhra movement. We will not let the BJP go unanswered for going back on what was promised," he tweeted moments ago.

Pawan also said that "after a decade of humiliation and insult, Andhras were thrown out without a capital city and without a revenue package."
