It was done to commemorate the second death anniversary of the man who touched a billion lives and motivated many to chase his dreams. The event was held in Rameshwaram, the place where the great man was born and grew up.

Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kalam Memorial and wished the movie all the success.
To be produced under the banner Dream Merchants, this is the first US project of the Sunkara-Agarwal duo. It will be an inspirational film about the legendary scientist and people's President.
Renowned author-editor Raj Chengappa (who has authored a book on Kalam) is co-writing the movie.
About the movie's plot:
An English-language movie, it will have a thriller-like second half which tells the story of how Kalam outsmarted the CIA's machinations, thereby successfully protecting the Indian nuclear secrets. The first half, on the other hand, will mostly be about Kalam's childhood and his journey of becoming a nuclear scientist.
