Ishq
Nitin has had a hard luck for many years now. Nobody knows it better than this once-celebrated lover boy what unrealistic films can do to a career. Thankfully, he seeks to set the record straight with Ishq. According to the actor, the film is closer to reality. A love story in which family values form the crux, the Vikram Kumar-directed film stars Nithya Menon as the female lead.
The director has assured us that although the story is a simple one, treatment, screenplay and the visuals are unique. To top it, the makers promise that Ishq would set a new trend in the genre of romantic movies.
The film is crucial to the sagging career of Nitin, who has become synonymous with few-film wonder. It is not that there is no talent in him. We never had any doubts about that - especially after watching him in Sye. He realises the importance of being prudent in making choices. Exaggerated heroism, he now knows, doesn't have a universal value.
He is sharing space with not just Nithya Menon, but also Sindhu Tholani. Ajay is playing another key role here.
PC Sriram is cranking the camera while Anand Shankar is the music director.
