Six year old cancer patient becomes a police commissioner

Ishan is a six year old boy from Telengana suffering from leukaemia. One of his dreams was to become a police officer. Thanks to ‘Make a Wish’ foundation, the boy was able to live the dream, even if it was just for a day.

Dressed up to the nines in a Khaki uniform, Ishan was seated in the Rachakonda police commissioner’s office with several officers waiting on him. He was also welcomed with a bouquet of flowers by the cops following which he was led to the commissioner’s chair.

An elated Ishan also stated that he would like to make the police people friendly and ensure the safety of women by increasing the number of ‘mahila police stations’.

Ishan had been undergoing treatment for leukaemia at the MNJ Cancer Hospital. The doctor who were overseeing the boy’s treatment had disclosed that Ishan wouldn’t live long enough following which his parents contacted the NGO thus making his dream come true for a day.
