Young actor Ishaan Khatter has an exciting line up of films under production. His project 'Phone Bhoot' is set to release in July and he also has war drama 'Pippa' under production as of now. Apart from these two, Ishaan will also be seen playing the lead in biopic of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.

Titled 'Dhyan Chand', the film will be helmed by Abhishek Chaubey and it was announced by producer Ronnie Screwvala in 2020, who had tweeted, "1500+ goals, 3 Olympic gold medals, and a story of India’s pride. It gives us immense pleasure to announce our next with #AbhishekChaubey - a biopic on the Hockey Wizard of India- #DHYANCHAND."

The latest buzz about the project suggests that it might go on floors by the year end. A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, "They will start shooting in November or December. They will finalise the exact dates soon. Abhishek will start with the pre-production after he is done with his ongoing commitments. He is presently busy with Konkona Sensharma and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Soup. Ishaan will also start training for the part a couple of months before they start shooting for the film. It will be an intense prep. Meanwhile, work on the final script is on."
