Happy Birthday Isaipuyal A.R.Rahman

Today is the 49th birthday of ace music director A.R.Rahman. His age may be close to the 50 mark but he still remains the musical heartthrob of Indian youngsters.
Rahman who entered the film industry with the memorable music score for director Mani Ratnam's Roja' and won the National Award for Best Music direction, a phenomenal feat achieved by any debutante. Since then he is the numero-uno music director in Kollywood with a plentiful chartbuster songs and music albums. His inclusion in the crew becomes the USP of a film. The best example for this would be the recently released trailer of Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada' which will be the next Tamil film to hit the screens with his music. The trailer since its release has been smashing all the records in social media. That song, just the first lines of the song to be precise, would have become the mobile ringtone of thousands of youngsters in Tamil Nadu by this time.
Rahman is the first Tamil music composer to make it big in Bollywood, the biggest film industry of India. After entering with the super hit album for Ram Gopal Varma's Rangeela', Rahman till date remains the most sought after music director of the Hindi film industry, as much as he is popular in Tamil, his mother tongue.
Rahman is also the first Indian music director to make a lasting impact and phenomenal success in International film industries including Hollywood. He has won the most prestigious awards for film music in international arena and that includes two Oscars, two Grammies, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA. In India he has won four National awards and 15 Filmfare awards. He keeps working in films multiple international languages at a time and he is the first and the only Indian composer. The latest gems added to his crown are Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi's Mohammed: The Messenger of God', the biopic on Mohammed, The Prophet and the biopic on Football legend Pele.
His fan base includes people of all age groups and all sections of audience across India and other countries. Many top celebrities of India like Sachin Tendulkar have claimed themselves as the fans of Rahman's music.
Passing on his legend to the next generation Rahman runs KM Music Conservatory, a state of the art music school in Chennai to train the aspiring youngsters in Music. Students of this school have started entering Kollywood as music composers. Prominent among them is Ved Shankar, whose music for the Tamil film Azhagu Kutti Chellam' has impressed audience and critics alike.
Apart from all these professional achievements Rahman is the epitome of simplicity, modesty and meticulousness. He has never ever been a part of any controversy in his career that has crossed 23 years. He has been undertaking a number of philanthropic activities. His upcoming Nenje Ezhu' concert is to raise funds for the rain and flood affected victims of Chennai and Cuddalore.
Hailing from a normal family, Rahman, stands tall as the inspiration for every Indian by proving to be a pride of the country with sheer hard work and commitment.
