With the mega success of action thriller BADLAPUR, Varun Dhawan, the recent heart throb of Bollywood has proved that he is not just another celebrity son but is an actor par excellence.
True enough in a short span Varun Dhawan has proved his credential as a power packed actor essaying a verity of roles like the happy go lucky boy in Karan Johar's STUDENT OF THE YEAR (2012); in MAIN TERA HERO (2014) he played a typical Bollywood hero, who romances and thrashes the baddies while in HUMPTY SHARMA KI DULHANIA (2014) he proved his mastery over comedy.
And last but not the least in BADLAPUR (2015) he daringly took the challenging role of the antagonist Raghu and has brilliantly confronted against the acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
In fact the highpoint of BADLAPUR is the on-screen pairing of these two actors and probably one of the prime reasons why the revenge drama is being talk of the town.
Speaking about the confrontation scenes director Sriram Raghavan says, while Nawaz brings an evil humorous streak to his character and adds an ominous shade to his role. Varun gives an equally competent resentment through his wide fiery eyes.
Recalling a confrontation scene in which Varun thrashes Nawaz brutally, Sriram Raghavan recalls, “A scene required Varun to thrash Nawaz viciously but despite being beaten black and blue, Nawaz had to keep laughing, merrily, thus ridiculing Varun.”
“To get into the skin of the role and to generate the fury required for the role, Varun studied the scene for hours and during the shoot he wild so wild that he actually ended by banging Nawaz!”
After BADLAPUR, Varun will be seen again in an action avtar in DISHOOM, directed by brother Rohit Dhawan and would star opposite original action hero John Abraham.
One wonder is Varun Dhawan the New Angry Man' In Making?
