Is this the title of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ Hindi remake?

It’s known that ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ will be remade in Hindi with Kartik Aryan and Kriti Sanon (who is part of Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’ currently) as the lead pair. The duo is stepping into the shoes of Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde, respectively.

A title has rumouredly been locked by the makers. It’s said that ‘Shehzada’ has been decided to be the name, considering the story and the nature of the male protagonist’s character. 

In all likelihood, Paresh Rawal will reprise Murli Sharma’s character. In the Telugu original, Sharma’s performance was universally hailed for being so apt. Tabu might be reprised by Manisha Koirala but there is no confirmation as yet. Jayaram and Sachin Khadekar will most likely be reprised by established actors from Bollywood. 

To be directed by Rohit Dhawan (who will have a tough time filling the shoes of Trivikram Srinivas), the family entertainer is being produced by the Allu Aravind-Ekta Kapoor duo. Dhawan has previously handled ‘Dishoom’ and ‘Desi Boyz’, and he is dealing with sensibilities that are not his forte in the Hindi remake. 

More details about the remake are awaited. The film will go on the floors later this year and will hit the screens in 2022.
