'Thangalaan' marks the first collaboration of Chiyaan Vikram and the highly acclaimed director Pa Ranjith and fans expect a mighty film from the fresh duo. Produced by Studio Green, it is reported to be a mega-budget Pan-Indian action drama, being made in 3D with a huge star cast.

A few days ago, the production house officially announced that the English actor Daniel Caltagirone joined the cast of Thangalaan for a powerful role. Now, the hot buzz on the internet is about the remuneration of Chiyaan Vikram in the much-awaited film.

As per the reports, Chiyaan Vikram was paid a whopping salary of Rs 28 crores for the magnum opus Thangalaan. Reportedly, this will be a period movie set in the pre-independence era. The story is based on the true events that revolve around the lives of mine workers in the Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka. GV Prakash is scoring music for the film.

The star cast comprises Chiyaan Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathi, Hari Krishnan and many others. The technical team includes Kishor Kumar as the DOP, Selva R K as the editor and S S Murthi as the art director with stunt choreography by Stunner Sam. Thangaalan is expected to hit the screens worldwide later this year.
