Prakash Kovelamudi, the director, is better known as the son of the legendary K Raghavendra Rao. News has gone out that he and his writer-wife Kanika Dhillon got separated in 2017.

The separation wasn't made public by either of them when it happened. They went on to work on 'Judgemental Hai Kya', the Bollywood film. Just a week after the release of the film, the news of their separation has become official.

What is the reason behind the separation? The buzz is that it was a mutual decision to go in for a break-up. Prakash has always preferred to live in Hyderabad, while Kanika, being a Bollywoodian, is a frequenter to Mumbai. "We continue to be friends," Kanika said.

Their personal separation doesn't mean they will not unite professionally for films in the future. "We will continue to collaborate," the writer said.
