As Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj nears completion fans and the media have started to switch focus to his next 'Thalapathy 68'. A couple of weeks back AGS Productions made the official announcement on the project with Venkat Prabhu directing Vijay for the first time and Yuvan Shankar Raja working with Vijay after two decades.

There is a huge buzz regarding the leading lady of 'Thalapathy 68' with big names such as Nayanthara as well teen actress Krithi Shetty reportedly in the race. Now unconfirmed sources say that Priya Bhavani Shankar is in the list of actresses to play a main female lead in the much awaited film. We will have to take this with a pinch of salt as the project is very much in the nascent stage.

Way back in 2018 when PBS made her big screen debut in 'Meyaadha Maan' directed by Rathnakumar, Thalapathy Vijay texted her appreciating her good work. The young actress gushed on social media "Thank you @actorvijay sir for the kind words. wen I woke up to this msg this morning I genuinely tot it was a prank.Double checked it for the Unexpected positivity u gave in this morning. i am not sure if I deserve this much love and recognition but i am sure to work towards it"

Will Priya Bhavani Shankar be the lucky one to romance Thalapathy Vijay in 'Thalapathy 68' remains to be seen. For now there is a chance of some update on the film on June 22nd when Vijay celebrates his birthday.

Meanwhile Priya Bhavani Shankar's long in the making film 'Bommai' is all set to release in theaters worldwide on June 16th. S.J. Suryah plays the male lead and is also producing the psycho romantic comedy which is helmed by Radha Mohan.
