Ashwath Marimuthu is a talented director who debuted with the Ashok Selvan starrer blockbuster rom-com, 'Oh My Kadavule', in 2020. After four years, he has now announced his second film with Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role and produced by AGS Entertainment. The project's fun-filled promo video went viral.

Meanwhile, Ashwath had narrated a story to Atman Simbu back in 2022 but the movie didn't happen. Reports broke out recently that Ashwath is going to direct the script he narrated to STR with Pradeep Ranganathan. The director clarified this speculation during his recent interview, which is now doing rounds on the internet.

Ashwath said, "The script I narrated to Silambarasan TR was different. I'm directing a different story with Pradeep Ranganathan. I was supposed to work with Pradeep long back but things fell in place only now. The film's title announcement coming on May 1st and the shoot begins by May mid. The movie is set in Chennai backdrop. It will be a fun-filled flick just like the promo video."
