Nara Rohit’s journey in films has been a difficult one. For years, he lapped up offer after below-average offer that came to him. Just about two years ago, he was one of the few heroes who was doing at least three films at a time. In 2016, he had more than half-a-dozen releases. Most of his films, right since his debut ‘Baanam’ (2009), were unremarkable. This year, Rohit awaits the release of three films.
The buzz around him in some circles these days is not about these upcoming releases but something else. It’s said that the 34-year-old Nara family man is going to bid adieu to cinema. He is going to take a keen interest in politics, which has been his area of interest, given his background.
Rohit may well continue to bankroll movies. He has been in the industry for too long to say goodbye to it permanently. The break from films may well be temporary this election season.
