Mari Selvaraj is one of the highly acclaimed filmmakers in the Tamil film industry. He joined hands with Dhruv Vikram for a new sports drama titled 'Bison', under Neelam Studios and Applause Entertainment. This project went on the floors with a pooja ceremony on Monday.

'Bison' was reported to be a biopic of a Tamil Nadu Kabaddi player. The film's director has denied these reports in a recent interview. He said, " The film will revolve around kabaddi but it's a fictional one and not a biopic. We went with a new technical crew as the script demanded a fresh treatment. We will be shooting a 60-day schedule in Tirunelveli and then move to Chennai."
