Thalapathy Vijay's 'Bigil' directed by Atlee had the mass hero in dual roles and released on Diwali 2019 amidst great fanfare. The film with music by A.R. Rahman had the stellar cast of Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Vivek, Yogi Babu and Anandaraj.
It was reported that the film collected near about rupees three hundred crores at the worldwide box office. Right from the time of release certain sections of the media have been reporting that AGS Entertainment incurred a loss due to the budget overshooting. A controversial national television carried a news article stating that Archana Kalpathi the executive producer of 'Bigil' had admitted that the company lost twenty crores in the project.
Archana Kalpathi has denied the news on Twitter and has asked the media to check facts on the article. It is inferred that there was no interview given by anyone associated with 'Bigil' of any losses incurred.
