Irumudi Trailer Launch: Ravi Teja Reveals Why He Is Confident About the Film

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is gearing up for the theatrical release of his much-awaited film Irumudi, directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film is scheduled to release worldwide on August 21, and expectations have increased considerably following the release of its theatrical trailer.

The trailer was launched at a grand event in Bhimavaram, where Ravi Teja spoke about his special connection with the town and shared his excitement about the film.

Addressing the gathering, Ravi Teja said, “Hello Bhimavaram. I have a very special connection with Bhimavaram. I spent almost eight months here during my life just watching movies. My grandparents used to live near DNR College. Bhimavaram has a great vibe, and everyone proudly says that they are from Bhimavaram. There is no need to say anything separately about the food here. Let’s meet again during the chicken fights next Sankranti.”

Ravi Teja also revealed that he watched the trailer along with the audience at the event. “I watched the trailer today along with all of you. I am very happy that you liked it. I am confident that this film will be a success. You will definitely like this movie. Let’s continue this vibe. Thank you, Bhimavaram,” he said.

The theatrical trailer introduces Ravi Teja in a different and intriguing role. He plays a middle-class family man who shares a strong bond with his wife and daughter. His affection extends beyond his own family as he treats every girl in his village like his own daughter. Whenever they face injustice, his protective nature turns into intense aggression.

The character also has a contrasting side. He is addicted to alcohol, but every year he wears the Ayyappa mala and transforms into a completely calm and peaceful person. When a series of mysterious murders involving young girls takes place in the village, the story revolves around the mystery behind the killings and Ravi Teja’s character’s attempt to stop the violence.

Director Shiva Nirvana has blended family emotions with action, suspense and crime-thriller elements. Speaking at the event, he explained the meaning behind the film’s title.

“Irumudi means a knot tied between two people. There is a knot between a father and daughter, a knot between Lord Ayyappa and his devotee, and there is also a knot involving a crime in the story. We brought these three knots together and named the film Irumudi,” Shiva Nirvana explained.

The director further promised that the film would offer much more than what has been shown in the trailer. “There is ten times more in the film than what you have seen in the trailer. Bringing these three elements together in a family drama will surprise you with its intensity. Ravi Teja garu worked extremely hard for this film. Irumudi is not just a movie; it is a great emotion,” he said.

Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishna Raju also attended the event and praised Ravi Teja’s journey. Calling the actor his cousin, he said Ravi Teja rose to stardom purely through his own hard work and determination.

“Ravi Teja is a real hero who came up through his own hard work without anyone’s support, with a determination to become a star. It is a proud and memorable moment for our district to see him become Mass Maharaja and attend this event. Irumudi will be another big hit for Ravi Teja,” he said.

Heroine Priya Bhavani Shankar, who plays Ravi Teja’s wife in the film, said working with the actor was a special experience for her. “I strongly feel that this will be a most memorable film for Ravi Teja garu. Being the heroine in such a film makes it even more special for me,” she said.

Child artiste Baby Nakshatra thanked the entire team for giving her the opportunity to be part of the film. She also praised Shiva Nirvana for his support and thanked Ravi Teja and Priya Bhavani Shankar for encouraging her during the shoot.

Mythri Movie Makers producer Ravi revealed that Ravi Teja was their first choice for the story because he could effectively handle action, entertainment, drama and emotional sequences. He expressed confidence that the film has shaped up extremely well and could reach a much bigger level.

The trailer of Irumudi has already created curiosity with its unusual combination of family drama, father-daughter emotions, action, crime mystery and the spiritual backdrop of the Ayyappa mala. With Ravi Teja appearing in a character that has contrasting shades, the film is expected to offer a different theatrical experience.

Irumudi is all set to hit worldwide screens on August 21.
