Actor Madhavan the heartthrob of female audience and also a highly talented actor makes his comeback in Tamil after a gap of four years with 'Irudhi Suttru'.
The actor who is highly popular for his young and smart looks has gone for a complete makeover to play an ageing and rugged boxing coach. Ritika Singh a boxer in real life has been cast in the female lead role as a boxer. Nasser, Radharavi and Kaali Venkat have acted in important supporting characters.
The film is being made as a bilingual in Hindi and Tami; The Hindi version has been titled as 'Saala Khadoos'. The film has been written and directed by Sudha Kongara, a former associate of Mani Ratnam who bounces back after her debut film 'Drohi' which was a commercial flop.
'Irudhi Suttru' has been produced by Sashikumar of Y Not Studios, C.V.Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainments and UTV Motion Pictures. Santhosh Narayanan has done the musical score and the songs are already topping the charts. Cinematography is by Sivakumar Vijayan and Sathish Surya has taken care of the Editing.
