After his humour outing with Anees Bazmee’s ‘Thank You’, talented actor Irrfan Khan is back to serious stuff… And that too a project from overseas…

Irrfan said to have been considered for a movie titled ‘Banker To The Poor’ which will be helmed by Italian filmmaker Marco Amenta. The movie is in fact inspired from a novel with the same name that is based on the Bangladeshi Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus.

Yes, Irrfan will be playing the title role... The movie revolves around the protagonist, Yunus the eminent banker, and how he materialised his dream of bringing a bank which caters to monetary needs of the poorest of the poor. It will also show how Yunus worked towards empowering the poor, helped them be financially stable, which in turn enhanced the Bangladeshi economy.
