Irrfan Khan starrer 'Hindi Medium' has crossed the mark of Rs.50 crore box office collection and has already crossed earnings of 12 crores at the international box office.

The film's unique theme had a stiff competition from a typical Bollywood drama yet Irrfan's power-packed performance in 'Hindi Medium' is making news everywhere.

The film has already got a tax exemption in Maharashtra, Gujarat, MP and Delhi and has picked up pace after word-of-mouth praises going stronger already in its third week at the box office.

'Hindi Medium' is a restatement that today an Irrfan Khan starrer is a commercially successful film apart from being a critical one. His audience base has increased over the years especially with his lead roles in films like 'Piku', 'Talwar' and 'Madaari'. Today the audiences step into a theatre knowing that brand Irrfan Khan represents content driven entertainment and they go expecting that, explaining the success of 'Hindi Medium'.

The film's box office makes it the highest numbers for an Irrfan Khan starrer Bollywood film so far both domestically and internationally.
