An Iranian legislator has placed a $3 million bounty on US President Donald Trump's head, as a reward to "anyone who kills" Trump, in order to avenge the assassination of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.
Ahmad Hamzeh, a member of the Majlis, reportedly told Iran's parliament that "on behalf of the people of Kerman province, we will pay a $3 million reward in cash to whoever kills Trump." Soleimani was killed in a US drone strike on January 3 in Iraq. Iran retaliated by launching a barrage of ballistic missiles at US and coalition forces in Iraq, outside the Baghdad Airport.
However. Washington's ambassador to the Conference on Disarmament, Robert Wood, dismissed the award as "ridiculous" and said it was a sign of "terrorist underpinnings" of the Iranian regime.
