Realistic expressions and sensible acting are the two major qualities of actress Pooja Devariya. The talented lass made her entry in Tamil Film Industry with director Selvaraghavan`s Mayakkam Enna` that released back in 2011.
The pretty actress made worthy comeback with a critically acclaimed performance in as bold and blatant Malar, in Karthik Subbaraj`s Iraivi.
Pooja Devariya, a professional theatre artist has bagged praises from Critics as well as from the audience for her dynamic performance in the recent hits Kuttrame Thandanai` and Aandavan Kattalai` both directed by Manikandan. It is to be noted that the young actress is eagerly awaiting the release of Vallavanukum Vallavum` produced by actor Bobby Simha who has also played the lead in it.
At the time when she is making strong inroads in Kollywood, the Chennai based girl has won a prestigious International award for her achievements in theater. She has won the Emerging Artists Award` at the Short and Sweet Theatre Festival`s Hollywood edition in Los Angeles. In the largest short theatre festival in the world. Pooja Devariya along with Mathivanan Rajendran of Stray Factory were the lone Indian contingent with groups from Mexico, USA, Australia and UAE and featured Emmy award winning actors and writers.
The two plays performed by them were My Name is Cine-maa` and Va Van Gogh`. The award was given also in recognition of 50 performances of the play My Name is Cine-ma` which has earlier won Pooja and Mathivanan Best Actress and Best Director awards in Short and Sweet Festivals in Chennai, Mumbai and Kuala Lumpur. In addition to this the play has been performed in Sydney and Auckland as well.
