Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara's 'Iraivan' is slated to hit the theaters on this Friday the 28th of September worldwide. The trailer of the film which has already been released caught the attention of movie goers and now a two-minute sneak peek video has escalated the expectations even further.
The bloody and gruesome scenes of the A Certified 'Iraivan' shows young women being abducted and mutiliated by the villain played by Rahul Bose. He is also openly challenging the police headed by the hero Jayam Ravi to catch him if they can.
The investigation seems to lead the cops to believe that the murderer is a complete psycho who thinks he is God justifying the title of the film. He has no motive except in taking sheer pleasure in murdering the women making him a deadly antagonist never before seen in Tamil cinema. Usually when a psycho is shown his backstory explains that he is a normal human being doing the terrible things because of an earlier trauma.
Director Ahmed has avoided the cliches and gone for a villain with no justification or fear making the cat and mouse game even more interesting. The film produced by Passion Studios has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and has Jayam Ravi, Nayanthara, Narain, Vijayalakshmi, Charle and Rahul Bose in the cast.
