In a setback to Chennai Super Kings, a pacer has on Friday tested positive for coronavirus. Reports from Dubai say that 10 staff members of the CSK contingent have also contracted the virus.
As a result, the CSK team has gone into quarantine as a precaution. Their quarantine will not come to an end before September 1. The good news is that the health condition of all those who have tested positive is reportedly stable.
What is the protocol for players' testing?
Players are supposed to be tested on the first, third and sixth days of the quarantine period. They should test negative in all the three tests so that they can go ahead with the IPL season's next stages.
Now that CSK's pacer, who has represented Indian internationally, has tested positive, a fourth test will be conducted.
