Ranveer Singh dances to ‘Vaathi Coming’ at IPL 2022 closing ceremony; Video goes viral

The finale of the 15th edition of Indian Premier League happened last night and the closing ceremony featured performances of a couple of legendary celebrities, including music composer AR Rahman and Bollywood star Ranveer Singh.
Ahead of the final match of the tournament between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, Ranveer Singh energetically grooved to the tunes of some of the most popular songs of the country, which included Vijay’s ‘Vaathi Coming’ and Ram Charan-Jr NTR’s ‘Naatu Naatu,’ among several other blockbuster numbers. A video of Ranveer performing the shoulder drop hook-step of Vijay in the viral song from Master has now gone viral on social media.
The video song of Vaathi Coming has over 360 million views on YouTube. The song, which is a fusion of North Madras gaana and western death metal, was composed by Anirudh Ravichander and sung by Gana Balachandar and Anirudh. Clips of Indian cricketers Ravichandran Ashwin, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav as well as actresses Nazriya and Genelia dancing to the song previously went viral on social media.
