As the IPL teams are gearing up for the onset of the tournament, which is less than 10 days away, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the official page of Mumbai Indians on Twitter shared a short video clip of the team's skipper Rohit Sharma hitting a 95-metre six during a training session that flew outside the stadium in Abu Dhabi and hit a moving bus, landing on its roof.
"Batsmen smash sixes, Legends clear the stadium, Hitman smashes a six + clears the stadium + hits a moving bus," Mumbai Indians had captioned the video. Rohit is seen celebrating the six with a fist pump in the air. In the video, somebody is also heard asking if the batsman broke the window of the bus or not. The 13th edition of IPL will take place in the UAE from September 19 to November 10. It will be a 53-day event, three days longer than the last two seasons. The matches will be played across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, with night matches starting at 7.30pm IST, and afternoon matches at 3.30pm IST.
Defending Champion Mumbai Indians will face off against the Chennai Super Kings in the maiden match of the tournament on September 19 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Chennai Super Kings will be missing the presence of Suresh Raina and Harbhajan, both of whom had backed out of the league citing personal reasons.
