Ahead of the release of 'Manasuku Nachindi', Amyra Dastur in this interview talks about her role, what the film is about, the kind of person she is, and more.
"I am playing Nithya, a normal Telugu girl who is also a Yoga teacher. She wants to live her life on her own terms. She belongs to that age when we think that we know better than our parents. The film is about how she finds herself. That's the outline of my role," she starts off.
Directed by Manjula Ghattamaneni, the rom-com will hit the screens in February. "I would say that it's a female-oriented film. Once you will see it, you will understand what I am saying," she says. Curiously, it was for the role played by Tridha Choudhary that Amyra was first approached. "It didn't work out. When I was offered Nithya's role, I did it," she says.
About her co-star Sundeep Kishan, Amyra says that he is a very chilled-out person. "It was fun to work with everybody on the sets," she adds.
Amyra is one of the few actresses who is busy in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. After 'Kung Fu Yoga' in 2017, she recently did a cameo in 'Kaalakaandi'. "It was a special appearance that I did. The project just fell through," she says.
A party girl, she comes from a large family. "I am a family-oriented person. My family keeps me grounded," she informs.
'Raju Gadu Yama Danger' with Raj Tarun is her next film in Telugu. "I am looking forward to its release," she signs off.
