The Telangana High Court granted interim bail to Allu Arjun in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. The actor, who was previously arrested and remanded for 14 days by the Nampally court, received conditional bail after his legal team filed a quash petition seeking dismissal of the charges against him.
During the hearing, Allu Arjun’s lawyer, senior advocate Niranjan Reddy, argued that the charges under Section 118(1) BNS were not applicable to the actor, emphasizing that he had no direct involvement in the tragic incident. He asserted that the case against Allu Arjun was baseless and requested immediate bail, especially since the hearing on the quash petition was postponed.
The government’s counsel opposed the request, arguing that there was no need for an urgent hearing and sought more time to present the case.
However, the judge questioned the government’s objection to granting bail if the charges were still under review. After considering the arguments from both sides, the High Court granted conditional bail to Allu Arjun, offering temporary relief to the actor and his legal team.
