Superstar Rajnikanth had recently completed dubbing for his next movie Darbar directed by AR Murugadoss, and the movie produced by Lyca Productions is now in post production stages. Also starring Lady Superstar Nayanthara, Darbar is set to release on Pongal 2020.

Next month, Superstar is all set to begin shooting for his 168th movie which will be directed by Siva whose Viswasam had impressed Superstar, and this movie produced by Sun Pictures will have music by D Imman and Soori is rumoured to play the comedian in the movie.

While there were earlier reports that Jyothika, Manju Warrier and Keerthy Suresh are the primary choices to play the female leads in Thalaivar 168, the latest rumours making rounds is that yesteryear heroines Kushbhu and Meena are in contention to play the female leads in the movie, and an official clarification on this speculation is expected soon.
