Kollywood is now going gaga over Hindi filmdom. A host of films are not being made inspired by Bollywood films.

Interestingly until now, several technicians from Tamil cinema including directors and cinematographers ventured to work in Mumbai. Recently the likes of Genelia and Asin found plump offers come their way in Hindi.

Now Tamil cinema is borrowing storylines from Bollywood. Madhavan's ‘Guru En Aalu’ is inspired by Shahrukh Khan's Yes Boss, while P Vasu is ready to commence his next featuring his son Sakthi, inspired by acclaimed Hindi film of 1990s ‘Baazigar’. Also the blockbuster ‘Taxi No 9211’ which featured Nana Patekar and John Abraham is being made in Tamil by G V Films. It features Pasupathi and Simran in lead roles.

Says a producer, “It is a safe bet to remake movies which proved a hit in other language. The likes of Rajinikanth and Vijay followed the formula. Why not we?”
