Never say twice

Mahesh Shankar's music, after Vennela and Prayanam, disappoints greatly.  The singers, though, are okay.  Lyrics by Vanamali and others do not have an impact.  The album has, in total, five songs and a theme music.  In fact, nothing has the virtue of a second listening.

Rahul Nambiar, Hariharan, Kalyani, Prasanna, Rita, Swetha Pandit and Mrinalini are the singers.  Vanamali and Viswa do a so-so job.

Ninnalanni    Listen here

Rahul Nambiar (singer) goes back in memory and enjoys the experience of re-living the past.  Vanamali's lyrics celebrate the same.  Mahesh Shankar's music is just about okay.

Hey Hey Everybody   Listen here

Better avoided!  Rita's voice is no saving grace.  One may understand Viswa's lyrics if she goes for a second listening, which it doesn't merit.  Mahesh Shankar's music is tacky and poorly inspired.  Listening to the song, one wonders what the fuss is all about.

Vaadey Na Vaadu   Listen here

Swetha Pandit's voice is good, but not the music.  Mahesh Shankar doles out a below average fare.  Vanamali's lyrics do not inspire.  We have heard many a girl demanding a pride of place in their man's heart, but this one is no different.  Verdict: Don't go for it.

Inkosari   Listen here

It's quite a lovable song.  Probably, the best from the album.  There is a melodious feel about the song.  Shankar's music adds the flavour, so also Hari's voice.  Though in the later part, it threatens to slip into mediocrity, it picks up with difficulty.

Life Ae Ika Saturday   Listen here

The song is rendered by Kalyani and Prasanna.  Written by Anuradha Sriram, the song has a good usage of English words.  The friends vow association for eternity.  And promise to make life, a prolonged Saturday.  But, again, it is best avoided.

Theme of Inkosari   Listen here

There is no reason why this should be reviewed.  Mrinalini continues to make the same rendition all along, while Shankar tries hard to find a footing.
