The news is that Reddy is reported to have shelled out a fancy price to lay his hands on the rights of this ambitious venture. The rights price is pegged at more than Rs. 11 cr, something unheard of for a Vikram film. The reason is that, after the recently-released trailer of Iru Murugan started making waves, the movie's BO potential has increased.

For all the fact that Kabali has fetched a humongous price, a Vikram film getting this price is still surprising. It's because the actor hasn't had a hit in a long time, in the Telugu States. However, the role of a transgender desperado and that of a RAW officer are expected to fetch footfalls in huge numbers. That's why the staggering dubbed rights' price.
