Popular actor Varun Dhawan's much anticipated film 'Bhediya' was released this Friday and the initial audience response to it has been largely positive. Ever since debut, Varun has worked in several mainstream masala movies and in a recent promotional interview for 'Bhediya', the actor was asked about the changes he has seen in the industry in his decade long career so far.
In response, he told India Today, "I myself am my biggest critic and I am beginning to realize that I am still very competitive and I don’t think the industry has evolved.”
Further in the conversation, Varun opened up about his insecurities. He said, "My father told me that hits and flops are a part of everyone’s life. He said to move beyond it and don’t tie yourself to the results so much. I have seen in my dad’s career, whenever failure would happen, two days he would be very low and listen to us or my mother, third onwards he will be like ‘mujhe karne do apna kaam’.”
Coming to the topic of 'Bhediya', Varun shared that it was his wife Natasha Dalal who convinced him to take up the role of a werewolf as she loves dark and scary movies. He said, "Meri biwi toh khush ho gayi, ab mujhe dusron ki biwion ko khush karna hai.”
