Director Mohankrishna Indraganti is disappointed with the trolls who are abusing him for using the term "Telangana cinema" in a recent tweet. He used the term in a tweet praising 'Dorasaani'. "The film proves my claim that Telangana Cinema is redefining Telugu Cinema. Authentic, moving, entertaining and uncompromisingly artistic," the 'Sammohanam' director said.
Following this, he was trolled by many Twitter users, who took umbrage to his use of the term "Telangana cinema". A user went to the extent of saying that Indraganti should release his movies only in Telangana from now on.
Miffed with the development, the acclaimed director said, "I am surprised to see some comments— some pathetically vulgar— about my use of the phrase ‘Telangana cinema’. Telangana is a region, which, with its new ideas and perspectives, is infusing new energy into Telugu (which is a common language of both states) Cinema."
The 'V' director further said, "It’s not an insult to Andhra Cinema, which I am extremely proud of. To the guy who is abusing me—appudappudu aina brain vadu, dear lathkore. Exercise avutundi."
