Ahead of its release, 'V' continues to be in the news. To be released on an OTT platform on September 5, the film is directed by Mohanakrishna Indraganti. Sudheer Babu, who plays a super-cop in it, has made an interesting revelation in his latest interview.

The 'Sammohanam' director had Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu in mind for the male roles in the movie. It's another matter that he went on to do the film with Sudheer and Nani. "After the project began to take shape, I knew that Nani was on board as the antagonist. Then Mohan sir asked if I would like to play the cop," the 'Nannu Dochukunduvate' actor tells The Hindu.

While the movie has been described as an action thriller, Indraganti recently called it a neo-noir mystery action drama.

Produced by Dil Raju, 'V' has music by Amit Tridevi and background score by Thaman. Cinematography is by PG Vinda. It stars Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari in other roles.
