Indira Canteen no water, Mayor unhappy

The Indira Canteen evolved by Congress I government in Bengaluru to fill the hungry stomachs has faced a senior water problem in some of the units. As a result the Indira canteen at Subramanyanagar was closed down.

The unit closing down for water crisis in the canteen has irked Bengaluru City Mayor G Padmavathi. The furious mayor has suspended the concerned official.

When the city mayor Padmavathi made official visit on Tuesday morning the closed canteen gates greeted her. When the water crisis for the canteen was ascertained she got furious and suspended the official Nagarj. When the Mayor visited the spot she noticed the morning breakfast at the Subramanyanagara Indira Canteen. This has further enraged the mayor.

Later Mayor G Padmavathi visited Idira Canteen units at Prakash Nagara, Madanayakanahalli, Palace grounds kitchens to inspect the cleanliness.

At her visit Bengaluru Mayor heard the public opinion also. The well settled people making use of the Indira Canteens instead of economically weaker section was brought to her notice.
