A recent viral video of an IndiGo employee manhandling a passenger has created anger and disappoint among the general public.

It was a diconcerting day for Rajiv Katyal who was about to catch a flight on October 15. After some feisty exchange of words, one could see in the video that the ground officials take him down and pin him onto the tarmac almost strangling him.

The airlines President Aditya Ghosh later came out apologising for the incident. He stated that the concerned employees were suspended immediately and also added that he had personally called the passenger apologising to him on the same day of the incident.

The country’s Aviation Minister Jayant Sinha talked with the airline founder Rahul Bhatia over this issue stating that the employees involved in the misconduct will not be able to enter airport premises nor work in the aviation industry once the passenger files his complaint.

Also in an effort to educate the masses on such untoward happenings, he instructed the people to contact services such as AirSewa or DGCA Sugam to file their complaints against such misdemeanors.
