Indian President Hosts a Tea Party for Kamal Haasan

Pranab Mukharjee, the President of India honoured the ambassadors of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s ambitious Swachch Bharath` (Clean India) campaign, by hosting a Tea party to them in Rashtrapathi Bhavan-the official residence of the President.
The ambassadors, as appointed by the PM include our Ulaganayagan` Kamal Haasan. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, yesteryear actress and Animal Rights activist Amala Nagarjuna, Cricket Icon Sachin Tendulkar, leading Entrepreneur Anil Ambhani, Music director and singer Shankar Mahadevan and many others.
PM Modi also graced the occasion. Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu, presented the first copy of a booklet on the Clean India campaign to the President. Babulal Suprio, the Minister of State for Urban Development explained the salient features of the scheme to the ambassadors. The PM appealed to the ambassadors to use their entire resources in popularizing the Clean India campaign.
Ways and means to strengthen the campaign that aims to make India litter free by the year 2019 were discussed by the dignitaries. The ambassadors took oath to implement the valuable suggestion given by the President and make the campaign more effective and successful.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Former Indian Cricket team captain Saurav Ganguly,, cricketer Mohammed Kaif, Media barons Arun Poorie, Ramoji Rao, Lyricist Prashoon Joshi, Writer Chetan Bhagat, North-East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari took part in the event as special invitees.
