An Indian-origin woman dentist from Sydney, who was reported missing on March 3, has been found dead, with her body stuffed in a suitcase inside her car in an eastern Sydney street on March 5.
The body of the woman, identified as 32-year-old Preethi Reddy, was stabbed multiple times before she was murdered and dumped into the suitcase, according to reports. Her ex-boyfriend, Harsh Narde, who died in a car crash on the New England Highway on Monday night, a day after Preethi Reddy was reported missing, is the prime suspect in the case.
The police reported that they had spoken to Narde before his death as part of a preliminary investigation, claiming that the investigation had still been in its initial stages. They suspect that the head-on collision that led to the car crash was done on purpose. “At this stage, we know they met up in Sydney and now we’re looking at all the movements between these two,” a detective added.
Meanwhile, the family of the victim is in a state of shock upon discovering her condition. They had earlier sent out messages across social media to help find Preethi. Her body has been sent for a post-mortem.
