Indian-origin woman loses life to a shark attack

In a tragic incident, a woman of Indian origin was killed in America when she was mauled by a tiger shark. The grave mishap took place when a 49 year old Rohina Bhandari was scuba diving in Cocos Island National Park.
Bhandari, a senior director at a private equity firm in New York was a part of the 18 member group that was on a trip visiting the island. Even before Bhandari’s scuba diving guide tried to scare off the female tiger shark, Bhandari was mauled by the animal leaving several bites on both her legs.
The guide however survived sustaing bite injuries in one leg but Bhandari was declared dead on site by doctors. Rohina is described as ‘tough as nails with her career goals’ by her friends.The incident has come as a shocker to the locasl as the region hasn't been inhabited by tiger sharks for the past thirty years reportedly.
