An Indian man was on cloud nine during the second ODI match between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground as he proposed to his Australian girlfriend in the stands, down on one knee, with a ring.
The gesture was featured on the big screen with several people, including a few cricketers on the ground, cheering for the now engaged couple. The video of the adorable proposal later went viral on social media. Harsh Goenka re-shared the footage, calling it the sweetest moment of the match. "The sweetest moment of #INDvsAUS today," he had posted. Dipen Mandaliya, who is employed in Australia as a data analyst, has now shared the story of how he met Rosilie Wimbush and how they eventually became a couple. Dipen mentioned in his Instagram post that he met Rosilie (Rose) when he moved to Melbourne from Sydney in 2018. Rose was the previous tenant of the apartment Dipen had shifted to, and the two of them had an awkward first meeting after Dipen contacted Rose to exchange the mails he had received at his place that were meant for Rose. However, during their second meeting a month later for the same reason, the couple instantly hit it off.
Dipesh wrote, "We met for the second time and nothing was awkward anymore. What was meant to be a 10 min coffee chat turned into a 2-hour long conversation about everything. Cricket, of course, covered a lot of the conversation. From then on, we decided to catch up again over dinner, and then for drinks. We quickly realised how similar our values and interests were. Despite growing up in completely different parts of the world we couldn't be more aligned! That's what got us together."
