Indian Idol singer Shanmukha Priya bags first chance in Telugu movie

Shanmukha Priya, who has made a reputation for herself by appearing on reality song shows, was in for a huge surprise when Vijay Deverakonda blessed her through a video message in the yet-to-be-aired grand finale of Indian Idol 2020.

In a promo released by Sony TV on Saturday, the ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor is heard saying that he enjoys listening to Priya’s songs. A specialist in Carnatic music, jazz and yodeling, Priya has participated in the well-known Telugu-language show Padutha Theeyaga in the past. She has also appeared on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs as well.

As the ‘Liger’ actor delivered his message, Priya was excited that her favourite star was speaking to her. Sharing the promo, the TV channel wrote, “#IdolShanmukhapriya ke super fan, superstar #VijayDevarakonda ne unhein di apni blessings! Dekhna mat bhooliyega, #IndianIdol2020 #GreatestFinaleEver kal dopahar 12 baje se raat 12 baje tak, sirf Sony par! (sic).”

Vijay Deverakonda, meanwhile, is gearing up for the shoot of ‘Liger’. He also recently started dubbing for his character in the Puri Jagannadh directorial.
