Superstar Rajinikanth has been dominating Indian cinema for the better part of five decades and at 72 he is showing no signs of slowing down. Over the years he has remained the celebrity of celebrities with the most recent example being sensational Indian cricketer Sanju Samson.

Sanju known for his explosive batsmanship and wicketkeeping skills met the Thalaivar at his residence in Poes Garden, Chennai. He shared on Twitter "At the age of 7 already being a Super Rajni fan,,I told my parents ..See one day I will go and meet Rajni sir in his house…After 21 years,that day has come when The Thalaivar invited me.

The pics show Rajini welcoming Sanju with a shawl and spending quality time with him. Later Latha Rajinikanth too joins in and also hands over gifts to the 27 year old. Fans are congratulating the Kerala born cricketer who in several interviews has stated that he overcame the pandemic blues by watching Rajini films on TV.

Sanju Samson will lead the Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming IPL, where the Royals will play their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 2 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
