Three Indian army personnel including an officer and two soldiers lost their lives in last nights attack by Chinese forces at the border near Ladakh. One of the soldiers is Pazhani hailing from Ramanathapuram district in Tamil Nadu.

Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan has posted his salutations to Pazhani on twitter writing in Tamil "We bow our heads in salutations to soldier Pazhani of Ramanathapuram district who sacrificed his life fighting for our country against Chinese troops. We extend our love and condolences to his family"

Kamal also gave strong advice to the warring sides "Those who value lives will not prefer war and its best to find a peaceful solution"

எல்லையில் சீன வீரர்களுடனான மோதலில் உயிரிழந்த இராமநாதபுரத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இந்திய வீரர் பழனி அவர்களின் வீரத்திற்கும், தியாகத்திற்கும் தலைவணங்குகிறோம். அவர் குடும்பத்திற்கு நம் அன்பும், ஆழ்ந்த அனுதாபங்களும். உயிர்களின் மதிப்பறிந்தவர் போரை விரும்ப மாட்டார்கள். அமைதி வழி தீர்வு காண்போம்.
