'Indian 2' is a highly ambitious film from director Shankar and the project has faced numerous obstacles since the work began. Now, the movie is finally in the final stages of production and gearing up to hit cinemas by Summer 2024 worldwide. The maker shared a hot update on the movie today.
Shankar took to his social media page and shared a picture of himself in a lavish studio. He captioned it, "Scanning the advanced technology at Lola VFX LA #Indian 2" (sic). According to sources, the director is visiting this VFX company in Los Angeles regarding the de-ageing portions of Kamal Haasan in Indian 2.
Lola VFX is known for de-ageing technology. They worked in Robert De Niro's de-ageing VFX in "The Irishman" by Martin Scorcese and Chris Evans' ageing VFX in "Avengers: End Game" by Russo Brothers. Earlier, Lokesh Kanagaraj tried to de-age Kamal Haasan in certain scenes of his film 'Vikram' but the process became very costly and time-consuming.
Now, we are going to get Ulaganayagan's de-aged version in Indian 2. The movie has an ensemble cast that includes Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Manobala, Vivek and Samuthirakani. Anirudh is scoring music for the film and the first single is expected to be released soon.
