'Indian-2', to be titled 'Bharateeyudu-2' in Telugu, will be shot at Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City from mid-April. Set erection works are currently going on. The Hyderabad schedules are going to be long, as major portions of the film will reportedly be shot here. Also, schedules in Thailand are planned.
The film is presumed to be a sequel to the Shankar-Kamal duo's 1996 blockbuster 'Bharateeyudu'. Shankar had on Republic Day formally raised a toast to his upcoming project by letting an air balloon fly high in Taiwan. The magnum opus is produced by Lyca Productions and Anirudh Ravichander is said to be on board to score music. The rest of the cast and crew will be officially announced soon.
Recently, Kamal suggested that the film might angry politicians. “If I make such films ('Sathyame Shivam'), I will have court cases (against me). Who knows? They may create problems for even 'Indian 2',” the actor-turned-politician said.
