The Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2 directed by Shankar is all set to begin shooting this month, and the director was seen scouting locations in Hyderabad and around last week. The movie also saw the arrival of new cast members like Aishwarya Rajesh, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, besides Kajal Aggarwal who was announced as female lead.

Recently there was a news that the originally announced cinematographer of Indian 2, Ravi Varman had been replaced by Rathnavelu, who had earlier worked with Shankar in the Rajnikanth starrer Endhiran, and as per latest reports, the renowned cinematographer has bagged another biggie.

Speculations are that Rathnavelu might be roped in as the cinematographer of director Maniratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan which will feature a huge cast including Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Anushka and many others. An official announcement is expected soon.
